Dear Friends and Alum,
What a joy we shared with you all on Saturday, 9/16. To say we were overwhelmed is an understatement.
The kind and thoughtful words brought back so many wonderful memories. The smiles have still not left our faces after all the hugs, kisses, warm wishes and dancing!
We are bursting with pride and joy for the lives our grads have built. Thank you to all for your prayers and support over these many years. It has been a humbling privilege and a blessing to have watched some of you grow up and bring your children to us for the same kind of education, discipline and love we shared with you. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE OURS!
Thank you too for the cards, gifts, and flowers. We might have made St. Therese a bit jealous (We doubt it!) with all the roses which proudly grace our living room.
To our beloved friends in this parish, that we love and have called home, you are part of our lives and we give thanks for you and the time and energy that you put into the celebration. It was, so very Little Flower! Thank you Valerie Booth and Valerie Stewart for your preparations and thank you Ingrid Clarke and Denise Humphrey for the execution of the program.
For those in SCGSTLs SPA Group and their husbands, for the academy students, who presented us with their love and flowers, we thank you all for your time and energy in preparing a wonderful celebration for us.
To all of those who worked behind the scenes organizing, decorating, cooking, serving and all the efforts that made Saturdays Celebration a huge success a huge thank you.
Please know that with St. Paul: We thank our God for each of you.
We are truly grateful to Fr. Mendez ? who would not take our response: No Father, no celebration is necessary. It is what we do and who we are. Thank you for not listening!!!
We thank Fr. Michael Perry, longtime supporter of the Sisters of Mercy and of the academy, for bringing the message of Catherine McAuley, our foundress, to the forefront of the Eucharistic Celebration.
We are gifted to retire from one extremely rewarding part of our lives But Sisters of Mercy never stop our mission. The works of Mercy are always our focus and we will continue to serve our Lord wherever He calls us.
In Gods Peace
